Fix “User Profile Service” Error within Windows Vista/7 & 8

Computer Errors: – User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded •Happens on Log on screen •Common in Windows 7 and maybe in Vista Steps to fix: 1. Boot into Safe Mode Do this by hiting F8 ounce or repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up 2. Click start and search regedit (double click it) 3. Find the following folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList There is one line for each profile. If a profile is bad, check: a) That the key name doesn’t end in “.bak” (remove .bak if there) b) That the RefCount value is 0 (change it if different) c) That the State value is 0 (change if different) If there is two that have the same file name and one says .bak at the end delete the other and rename that with out the .bak or delete the one that says temp in it. FOLLOW video well!!! Follow up Tips: If you delete the wrong folder, you will destroy your profile and lose everything. This will force you to do a system restore or go to a computer repair shop. Make sure you delete the folder with out the .bak and follow the instructions carefully. All in all…you are suppose to delete the folder without the .bak then after that is done, you should have one folder left with a .bak. So with
