SoundMax HD Audio Fix, Stereo Mix Record

For everyone whom this video doesn’t help, here are some last resorts: A: Buy a soundcard that supports “stereo mix” recording (aka “What U Hear”): -Creative’s USB X-Fi Go! (external, cost less) -USB Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 (internal) -(if another card, do your research) –or– B: Buy Virtual Audio Cable –or– C: If you plan on buying (or building) a new computer soon, research to find out which motherboards have soundcards that support “stereo mix”/”What U Hear”. Here’s the link for the driver: www.msfn.org (It ONLY works on SoundMAX cards, same goes for all of the following links) Alternate links: SoundMAX XP 32-bit driver: dlsvr03.asus.com SoundMAX Vista/7 32/64bit drivers: dlsvr03.asus.com If that doesn’t work, here’s another link I archived myself: sites.google.com Enjoy! And don’t forget to vote! 🙂 … 11/16/09 UPDATE! I’ve just run across this link under my “statistics and data” for this video. digitalbreed.com It’s surpirising too see how similar his discription of fixing the problem is. He includes an extra detail which may prove useful to you if my way doesn’t help. 8/28/10 UPDATE! The Vista driver works for all versions of Windows 7 and Vista, 32 and 64 bit.
