for windows 7 I think you can disable WLAN autoconfiguration to get the same result. Is that true?

Maybe you dont have english Windows.

This has stopped my lag spiking, but unfortunately my ping is still a bit higher than usual. Im getting download speeds anywhere from 8 mbps download, to about 20 mbps download, so the internet isn’t the issue. Do you have a solution for this?

I get the same results as shown in the video when I testing it using the command (though it alternates between 1000+ ping spikes and informing me the Request has timed out)

Unfortunately after disabling Wireless zero configuration my wireless connection will display 54Mbps and excellent connection but I am unable to navigate to any webpages and I can no longer ping google.com using the command or disable/repair my connection until I start wireless zero up again.

Any ideas what just happened?

dude your the man! had exactly the same problem as you followed your instructions and boom b4 was getting spikes up to 1600 now if it dose it will jump to 100ms max!

Constantly awake is probably the one you want to choose. Each card has its own configuration layout so there’s no definite click A, B, and C to fix it. But the bottom line is that any power save feature might be causing the disconnect. Check your router settings as well. I found out that assigning static IP from your router changes the lease time (max connection duration) from 1 day to infinite.

but when I advanced I clicked on Power Saving Mode and then I got to choose Constantly Awake, Power saving mode and Max power saving. and what should I choose or I am in the wrong place?

I found a solution for my card. In my wireless adapter properties I clicked configure then went to the advanced tab. There I found a parameter called “Leisure Power Save” and switched it to disable. My wifi card no longer disconnects me after 10-20 minutes. I don’t know if every card will have this option but it’s worth a shot.

i tried different method…i googled “microsoft service pack 3 download iso” which is like around 500mb, then extracted the stuff inside iso into a folder and install it…turns out it works just fine!
