This is a short demonstration of a new feature we have incorporated into our solutions. For more info, please visit www.CustomDesktopsolutions.com . It allows you to use the camera in the new iPhone 3Gs as a TRUE barcode scanner. Our apps live on your iPhone, not web based. You can truly enter a barcode or UPC number into a database field. This is a great feature for inventory control, sales, or just about anyone who needs to scan barcodes. Any app we incorporate this feature can be synced with any of our solutions running on a desktop.

Two problems. 1st, what app did you download? This video does not refer to a specfic app and your comment does not say what app you downloaded.
2nd The camera in the iPad 2 sucks for still shots. They used the same camera that they used in the newest iPod to keep the device thin. This translates to low quality still shots that are not able to be read as a barcode.
I downloaded the app to test with the iPad 2- it just keeps crashing and sends me back to the dashboard (home screen). I was interested in using this app as a possibly a solution to our Central Supply department. Any updates coming soon?
i’m not talking about bluetooth scanner.. download inventory scanner app and have a look how it scans barcode from the iphone camera without snaping a photo its very quick even with low light .. but that app doesnt have a database… just good with scanning ..
This is an old video. We no longer use the red line overlay. NO PHOTOS ARE STORED. We only use the camers to read the barcode and enter the # into a database field. Unlike bluetooth scanners that are available, our method makes it easier to switch back and forth from scanning to data entry. When you use a bluetooth scanner, the device treats it like a keyboard and locks you out of the devices keyboard, untill you disconnect the bluetooth scanner.
Hi, We made this video clip to demonstrate a feature that we have built in to several of our apps. Try Gift Registry on iTunes. If you are looking for something special, we build custom apps too.
Hi, I´m interested on this app, where can we get it?
We made this video to demonstrate a new feature that we have in several apps.
