I would like to know if T862 it has enough surface for heating the all nvidia gpu? Did you modified the IR lens to change the surface of beam light? Can this be userd for reballing an nvidia gpu? I have seen in other videos one guy using a heat gun for heating the corners of the gpu, saying that T862++ it doesn’t have enough surface for heating all the gpu. Thanks.
Hi,
OK going to sound stupid, I live in the UK, how if at all would I be able to send my laptop for repair to you guys in the US. It’s just I have asked around and its really expensive.
do you know how much it would cost for the same repair on my hp pavilion dv 2535ea?
Hi can i reflow notebook with reflow professional with this machine??
Thaks 🙂
I also have this nvidia video problem..the problem with the unit is it easily gets hot ,when it gets hot the solders melt down and gets loose so youneed to reheat it and add some modifications like fan or the one in the video.think if you cant do it yourself send it to mixcat
how long does it takes for the solder joints to break again? it wouldn’t probably last a year
Thank you – It failed on me a year after I bought it.
grrrr
Omg i love this type of laptop gonna buy one soon
I HAVE HP DV2225NR… Piece of Junk! Dont buy HP guys. Im buying SONY VAIO now with backlit keyboard.
The Pavillion AMD’s like to run hot. They use cheap thermal paste on the CPU and thermal pads of QUESTIONABLE quality on the GPU, and possibly the Northbridge and VRAM areas (if you have an Intel unit, but inspect board first). I recommend using Arctic Silver 5 or better (Noctua, Shin Etsu or whatever floats yer boat) on the CPU, and Fujipoly Sarcon pads (from FrozenCPU) on the VRAM and GPU.

hey, real big fan…. seen all the vidz about video issues, also intrigued by your green solar panel, i have one question…..ive been wondering what are the proper procedures of reflowing with a reflow station, im thinking of getting one (exact model from this vid) and would like to kno wat to preheat a motherboard to, whats the proper distance to have the lamp from the chip , and how long do i leave the lamp on the chip, thank you
LOL fail. In all these video’s, no-one seems to earth themselves to guide away static.
hi—–where did you buy the screwdriver set from that has the symbol on handle end as in the video ? i’d like to get one. does it have torx, star etc as well as cross Phillips slotted
also i have a hp dv2000 works perfect but that sucker runs hot on the bottom .a tech told me that if one of the memory sticks is ng it will cause run hot. another tech says its AMD they all run hot buy a cooling pad. it has 2 gb ram & ss hd.
How long do you heat bga chip for proper reflow,is it lamp always on 240c ?
Very nice rework station.
Sure will.. I have a video on my channel on the dv9000

Thats the one of the first signs that the chip is going. There are micro solder points under the chip; as it fails connections give up and less features work.. At some point it will give up on you but its better to get it fixed before you fry that chip.

I have an HP dv2615nr with a blank display. I can use an external monitor just fine. Does that mean the nvidia chip is not the problem?
