Shut Your Computer Down Quicker

When you shut down you computer, sometimes you may have applications open that need to be closed. In result, sometimes they may freeze or not respond and you have to manually click ok on several boxes therefore wasting time and electricity. I show how to use registry editor (regedit) to fix that problem. This is a long-term solution. Obviously you could pull the plug, but that wouldn’t be a good idea. Please rate and comment this video. for some reason i think a virus has removed my registry editor because when i type regedit into the run command windows it cant find it. WHY? here is my computer diagnosis:
System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 3

Computer:
Intel (R)
Celeron (R) CPU 2.40GHz
2.42 GHz, 480 MB of RAM (Random access memory)

wow, a couple things; one, these are great tutorials you make! I can tell you’re smart and yet you keep it simple for us. two, you tutorial about the most useful things! I hate always ending programs and such…

thanks again!

You are right, but if a program is not responding, many times it will never respond. This is why end process is useful.

manually ending task instantly shuts down any program.. the program doesnt save any unsaved changes.. so its better to wait for sometime.. anyways thanks to the uploader.. the info is useful 🙂

look at video description and follow the given location. If that doesn’t work then create your own AutoEndTasks

I can’t find the AutoEndTasks can you tell me the fulkl title show i can just create a new string and name it…i deleted it before hehe…thx

i already knew that i mean i read his respons.
but i was sayin u shouldent have problems with shuting down vista because vista has a quicker and easier shut down.
and u really didnt ask a question any way u smart ass

you shouldent have a probelm with shuting down with vista.
i have problems using vista as my main operating system so i have to dual boot viast and xp

vista hides the command: the easiest option is just to type the run command into the search thing and hit enter. (so in this case just type regedit and hit enter)

This is just what I need

I always have to end 3 or 4 programmes which run automatically on startup, so this is useful. 🙂

thanks

I don’t know. The problem with vista is the AutoEndTask value does not exist. You might be able to add the value as a 0. I haven’t tried yet. (type regedit in the search thing to bring up registry editor)
