Here’s how to do it in Windows 7 or Vista. Since Windows 7 and Vista utilize Shadow Copy, otherwise known as Volume Snapshot Service, to power the “Previous Versions” feature, there are snapshots of important files taken over time, including registry hives, so we can access the older versions of registry files this way without having to do a full System Restore. Thanks to www.winsupersite.com Paul Thurrott I show you the process of how to use a Windows 7 upgrade disk to erase your hard drive and do a clean install instead of the upgrade. WARNING!!!! This will erase everything so backup your information first such as pictures, files, etc… And you need all the drivers for your model computer. Usually these can be found on the individual manufactures website. If you do not have these the computer may never work correctly. You are responsible to get this right before you erase your drive following this method I show you.

Hardware: Cpu clock: 1.5ghz+ Memory: 1gb+ with 100mhz+ frequency. 1. Go to Start, right-click Computer and select Properties. Go to Advanced System Settings. In the Performance box, click Settings. Then select Adjust for best performance. Click OK when you’re done. If you want to keep your windows theme, check the last 2 boxes. 2. Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. Click Displays setting and set to the lowest resolution and bit. Also, go to Advanced Settings and click Monitor. Increase the hertz for your screen refresh rate. 3. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup. Check all the boxes and click OK. 4. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter, and Defragment Now. 5. Go to Start, type msconfig and enter. Go to the Startup tab and uncheck unneeded startup. 6. Run a virus scan on your computer. Viruses eat up a lot of memory and could cause your computer to crash. I use Norton. Yeah I know Norton slows down your computer to hell, but I have a pretty fast notebook. 7. Run a spyware scan on your computer. Spyware eat up a lot of memory and steal your personal stuff.
